Fat Daddio's muffin pan series are built from 18 gauge anodized aluminum and feature a rigid rolled rim that creates a very durable pan. The anodized finish promotes even baking, easy release and cleanup. The individual fluted tart pan features 6 cups with removable bottoms. Each fluted cup measures 3" at the top, 2 1/2" on the bottom and 1" deep.

The tart itself only measure 3 inches (base 2.4 inches, 0.9 inches deep) each. But the bake pan measurement 16 inches x 11 inches which contains only 6 tarts, that takes up lots of space in the oven. If you do not have a large oven, you can only put one tray on each oven rack. I personally think it can be made smaller by minimizing the distance between each tart from 1 3/4 inches to 1/2 inch apart, or even 1/4 inch apart + minimizing the distance to the bakepan edges as well. It takes up a lot of space to store such a big baking pan. Besides, it is very expensive to me as each tray only has 6 tarts & I need to buy 4 to get 2 dozen of tarts made.The pan is nicely made with rolled rims & has lovely fluted edges which are the main reason that this product catches my eye. However, I am very disappointed when I have received this product. Most of the removable bases are horrible made. They all are defective & don't have smooth cut edges & some of them are a bit bulged. I also have found out that some of the removable bases metal are thinner while some of them are thicker. Worst of all is most of them having scratch marks, I'm sure it is the result of a manufacturing defect and lack of quality control.Minus this defect, the pan is very sturdy. I have used it once to bake egg tarts and they came out perfect. However, because of the giant size of the baking pan, I can only put 2 trays (6 tarts in each tray) each time which completely occupied my whole oven. It doubles up my time to bake 4 trays if I want to bake 2 dozen tarts! It would be better if each size of the baking pan is smaller or there are 12 tarts instead of only 6 tarts.Due to the manufacturing defect of the removable bases & the oversized baking tray which only hold 6 tarts, I only give 2 stars. I am not sure whether I will continue using it as there are scratches on the removable base, which means that the protective anodized finish is partly removed & the underlying aluminium has exposed. I wished I had not purchased this product.
