I got this pan in February 2011 to make a Valentine's confection. It came in looking good and served its purpose well, and I felt ok about the 16 dollars spent. The shape was lovely and the finished product lifted out nicely.A heart-shaped pan doesn't see a lot of regular use, and we are pretty meticulous about drying items thoroughly before putting them away. Imagine my surprise when less than a year after purchase it began showing little rust spots. Most are appearing below where food would touch, under the lift-out bottom section, but a few are on the upper flat edge of the pan where moisture would not be prone to collect, and not be trapped.Worse yet, today, in holding the item firmly to scrub it, I got no less than 3 quick cuts on my fingers. Who knew a tart pan could cut you? This one did, and cut very well too, all 3 bled.Remembering those school lessons about tetanus, I'm not happy with the combo of rust and cuts, and will probably be very careful if I use this pan again.Yes, it will do the job, but watch out for the rust potential, and be very careful when handling the edges.
